![]() ![]() I don't feel like it shows up on the face at all when blended out though. Great for tinting your sunscreen to get rid of white cast! Some slight glow/shimmer so be warned if you're not into that. Fantastic natural bronze color, no orangeyness, mixes insanely well with every foundation and tinted moisturizer I've paired it with, but also works in a pinch alone. ![]() The closest alternative is probably the Youth to the People cleanser, but I hate the glass bottle in the shower.ĭ-Bronzi Anti-Pollution Sunshine Serum: A++, don't let the name fool you, this shit is basically a liquid bronzer. I may wind up buying the full size of this. ![]() I'm currently using the Skinfix Foaming Clay Cleanser and while that's 's not Beste lol. It's basic, but basic done right - fragrance-free, cleansing while not being stripping, not hydrating exactly but not drying either. Still will stick to Elemis for this type of product, even if the little bamboo scrubbies they include are super nice and really help get my makeup off.īeste No 9 Jelly Cleanser: B? This one is hard to grade, whenever I use it I always think "eh it's just a cleanser, it feels fine", but when I don't have samples on hand I find myself missing it a lot. Do not recommend using without a double cleanse though unless you have dry skin, it leaves some "filmy", sort of waxy hydration behind (it's not the typical oil films of usual cleansing balms that don't rinse clean, it's hard to explain), but I can skip moisturizer after which is nice if I don't double cleanse. Slaai Makeup Melting Cleansing Butter: B-, I like other makeup removers better like the Elemis AHA Cleansing Butter but Slaai isn't bad. It feels great on the face after being stuck in the fridge. It's a fine and great formulation though, and I do like it when I get a bit too much sun. I don't have much need for general hydration/hyaluronic serums so this doesn't do much for me. It just feels like a lighter Protini cream to me personally.ī-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum: B, same story as above. Fine product, I'm just not the target audience. Otherwise I can barely tell it's on.į-Balm Electrolyte Water Facial: B. I prefer this over Sunday Riley's Good Genes - it's pricier, but GG has the same issue with burning that Protini Resurf had for me, whereas Framboos only stings if I get it on actual open skin like popped zits and such. This is a fantastic gel that keeps my skin clear, balanced, smooth, and ready for all those makeup photos I insist on bombarding you all with. TLC Framboos Glycolic Night Serum: A++, another HG product for me. I love the brand's other AHA so I'm guessing lactic acid at the forefront just doesn't work well for me. Smelled kinda funky (that vinegar-ish AHA smell, there's no added fragrance), it was pretty watery and actually made my skin burn now and again, especially if it was a bit dry. Protini Powerpeptide Resurfacing Serum: B-, I didn't care for this all that much even if it didn't wreck my skin or anything. I do use other moisturizers because this is expensive, but lately I've just been biting the bullet and buying Protini, and alternating it as I hate-pan some other stuff. I can't speak for how this would work with very oily or very dry skin, and negative reviews generally have these skin types, but if you only slightly lean one way or another I'd recommend this. Somehow makes my skin plump, glowing, and baby-smooth without giving me zits or making my face feel "sweaty". Protini Polypeptide Cream: A++, my GOAT, will rebuy forever. I sometimes use this to soothe chemical burns on my face and lips if I accidentally overdo it with retinol or AHA. I haven't tried the reformulation yet, but given that it only adds some ceramides I can't imagine my review on this would change. Fragrance-free, with a positively delectable whipped texture that even on my slightly oily skin doesn't feel greasy or heavy. Lala Retro Whipped Cream: A, fantastic if you have normal to dry skin that needs a bit of oomph. Compared to some of the positively elegant formulations of vit C I've tried from Skinceuticals (which does cost 2x as much admittedly), this was a letdown as someone who generally likes Drunk Elephant. ![]() Do note I'm talking about the old version here, as I haven't tried the new one yet. I think the plant extracts they add do a lot to really help minimize irritation, especially considering other alternatives lacking those like The Ordinary's 30% AHA solution.Ĭ-Firma Day Serum: F, absolute awful product. It's expensive for what it is, especially if you have skin that can tolerate harsher but equally as effective alternatives. TLC Sukari Babyfacial: Solid B+, it's a great product that does some hardcore exfoliating while still being pretty gentle for most people. Welp, been putting this off for a while, but here goes: ![]()
